Personality: He is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help his friends. He considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. He is able to fit into much smaller and tighter spaces than normal.

History: Balam lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

History: He was raised in a forest tribe. He helped his father out around the business and became quite the natural. He became a Mayor soon after.

Motivation: He wants to get laid; and sabotage a competitor

Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. A true patriot, Fulbar would do anything for his country. He is fiercely protective of his fellow citizens and foreign allies.

History: He was born in the south, but his parents moved at a very young age to the west. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Halflings in Fulbar's homeland. Fulbar decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever.

History: Darrow hails from a village terrorized by orcs. His father was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Nothing but the best is good enough for him; and many orcs want him driven away
