History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: Abrasive and pushy, he has a hard time making friends. He has all his life been fascinated with singing.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. In his 15th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: A deep hatred of brigands; and someone believes him a fraud

History: He was born in the east. Because his mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, dire rats burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the east, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his father from journeying east to reunite his family. He was granted necromantic powers by his dying sister.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud.

Personality: He is mildly Tabaxi supremacist, though he does not identify as such. He does not mind isolation but does not hate company and attempts to receive them as best as possible.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. He worked as a nervous Layabout and found it very stressful. He has achieved small success as a Layabout.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and he seems to be bored by most things
