History: A powerful slaver made him what he is. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: Confrontational and typically high on some drug or another. He loves being with his children and actually smiles when they are around. He would do anything for them. He dislikes his ex a great deal.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a son. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: Wants to raise his children well.

Description: He is generally well dressed albeit a few years behind the times. He cuts an attractive figure and his suit of old armor is well cared for even if it is obsolete. History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Rurik grew up listening to his father's many stories. In his 20th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: He is curt in most of his responses. He prefers to keep his word usage to a minimum to avoid giving away unnecessary information. When he's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, he's doing painting.

History: When he was but 5 years old his parents immigrated from the north. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Gnomes in the north were limited. He now mingles about in high society.
