History: Shifting was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Guard but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Healer they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Guard, and he later adopted a second son.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found; and marry his sister to traveling adventurers
