The family never returned to the mountains due to the painful memories there. Kite took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up lance and armor he uses now. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.

History: Zook was born the youngest of three triplets. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Tanner hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Seamstress they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Tanner, and he later adopted a second daughter.

Personality: He has a massive crush on the younger sibling of the Scribe who has hired him part-time. He invites people to come help in his community garden.

History: Dimble was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Scribe responsibilities is difficult; and his religion dominates his actions
