Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. On top of that he is swayed by a pretty face, and while loyalty to his employer will always come first he doesn't like to hit women.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Barendd was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Carter. He has dedicated himself to building a better world.

He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. His actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as he answers to a power that mortal men fail to acknowledge.

History: Laucian lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. After a long history of fighting, Laucian and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found.

Personality: He trusts no one. He is not readily capable for forgiveness and his ire never leaves him. The war was a terrible time for him, and Gomory does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Gomory was born the youngest of three triplets. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. After a long history of fighting, Gomory and his spouse have recently divorced.
