History: Born to a Mayor, his mother struggled to pay the bills. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Xappan alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: He desires power and/or immortality; and a deep hatred of drow

History: His mother raised him in a mountain cabin. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Gargax grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Gargax. Being a Navigator kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.
