History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. At some point he was captured by brigands and was tortured. After several years of this he finally managed to escape. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by brigands. Burgell was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the brigands.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and he desires to right it; and a strong sense of loyalty to gnomish people

History: Ahvain lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Ahvain was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.
