He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Tiefling doctor. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: He considers himself a man of culture and sophistication. He likes a good challenge to his wits. He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. Some 9 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Cory never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his father had trained him before.
