History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Uthemar alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: A deeply religious man he believes everything happens for a reason. He enjoys reading and quiet.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. When Erky reached his early adolescence his Gnome mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. Being a Blacksmith kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent mother; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Gnomish conditions. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of philosophers.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. He has taken up work as a Masseuse and fed both sides of the war false information with the goal of increasing casualties.
