History: He comes from a rich northern family. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Tiefling companion (his 'brother'). Recently a tribe of giants attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Detective responsibilities is difficult.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: A deep hatred of giants.
