Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Whurbin is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Whurbin grew up listening to his father's many stories. He has had some formal painting training, and achieved minor success. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. In his 13th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Uraim alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He seems to be bored by most things; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it

Personality: He is a Shepherd first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. He works hard and plays hard.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. A few years later when the north was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: Further expansion of business; and to be a barkeep again

Personality: He does not believe in betrayal or weakness as things to be tolerated. He passes on several rewards to people in need. He makes a point to leave places better than he found them.

History: Zed was born with his father's beautiful face. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He has never given up on his writing dream.
