History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has never given up on his painting dream.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and he doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

History: Drifting lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.
