History: He was born into a rich family. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Nybarg alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and many gnolls want him driven away

History: Theren lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He found a children's book about a Elf Bard who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero.
