History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Paymon was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Arannis isn't afraid of most anything. He has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Elven unity. He is a ruthless business man, a trait he acquired from his father.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Arannis liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: Adelard hails from a village terrorized by orcs. His druidic abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and many orcs want him driven away
