Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his mother. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

Motivation: Wishes to resurrect an old love; and doesn't want to be a fisher and was forced into it by his family
