Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by gnolls. Varis was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the gnolls.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. A freak accident while working with his Bellfounder father left him crippled. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and he possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal

Personality: He is overprotective of those who hire his services. He refers to his adoptive father for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.
