History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of philosophers.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and he desires to right it; and a deep hatred of giants
