His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Silent is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Personality: Varis is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: Varis was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Cook work with an outfit from a few towns over. Cook work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature kukri.

Motivation: He wants to get laid; and he would like to get married and retire

Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Performer born in the past three hundred years. A true patriot, Lewis would do anything for his country. He is fiercely protective of his fellow citizens and foreign allies.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Lewis was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
