History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Shadow was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He has recently attracted an admirer that believes he's playing hard to get.

Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Alston isn't afraid of most anything. He has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Gnomish unity. He always tries to repair and not replace. It was this mentality that drove him into the Apothecary business.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Through the years after Alston was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Alston's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Personality: He has a massive crush on the younger sibling of the Bather who has hired him part-time. Leaf is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his brothers into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: Leaf was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Commoner, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Commoner in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He has since lost track of the people in his past.
