His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the desert due to the painful memories there. Frederick took refuge in the old dungeon and found the beat up sai and armor he uses now. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. He is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: Oblar was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Sorcerer, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Sorcerer in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He found a children's book about a Halfling Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story.
