History: He was born in the south. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Born in the east to a Navigator, Rathkran learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Rathkran grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Rathkran. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Body Guard work with an outfit from a few towns over. Body Guard work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. Sweet is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his sisters into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: He comes from a rich western family. Through the years after Sweet was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Sweet's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: Marry his sister to traveling adventurers; and doesn't want to be a dyer and was forced into it by his family
