Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Smoking grew up listening to his father's many stories. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Smoking fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Description: A moderately attractive man, he wears a blue vest with golden trim over his white shirt. His pastel leather gloves and pants are well-kept, and his blue boots flare out at the collars. He has shaved his head bald. His green eyes are desperate and heavily dilated. He has the appearance of someone under the heavy influence of drugs.

Personality: Here is a man who knows he is the smartest in the room. He talks down to others constantly. His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: He feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

Personality: He is fixated on the number 73. He counts his steps and bites of food to keep in track with it. He seems to be used to being ignored and not questioned about it. He is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Motivation: Revenge; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Shipwright hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army
