Personality: Abrasive and pushy, he has a hard time making friends. Shump is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his sisters into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Shump was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. After a long history of fighting, Shump and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found.

Personality: He has a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor. He is not one for noise or eating so much, which is in direct contrast with his big mouthed big gutted partner. His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. He has no love for corruption and racketeering and views those as crimes of the highest magnitude.

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his mother. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Gnomes in the east were limited. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He has decided he is irredeemable; and meet up once more with his childhood friend

Personality: He does not believe in betrayal or weakness as things to be tolerated. To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: He was born in the north. A few years later when the south was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: A deep hatred of orcs; and someone believes him a fraud

Personality: He is fixated on the number 38. He counts his steps and bites of food to keep in track with it. He seems to be used to being ignored and not questioned about it. His home and work are filled with various knick knacks he has acquired through the years. He cares a great deal for his adopted teenage daughter.

History: A powerful necromancer made him what he is. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has achieved small success as a Butcher.
