History: He comes from a rich northern family. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Description: He likes to wear darkened spectacles and heavy clothing, no matter the weather, but does not cut a very imposing figure. Personality: He seems absolutely devoid of it. He stares off into space and will respond with overly literal and minimalist answers to questions. He keeps company with all sorts of races to see how they think and challenge minds foreign to his own.

History: His martial talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Spice Merchant. Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of giants once and for all.

History: Umpen hails from a village terrorized by giants. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by giants. Umpen was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the giants.

Motivation: He loathes his own lifestyle.
