Quarethon was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and obtaining odd cultural dragonborn artifacts is his passion

Personality: Eccentric and domineering, Vondal will drive conversation. He invented a lineage for himself and claims to be descended from several legendary heroes.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his mother. Vondal liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. A few years later when the north was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: He is terrified, and will act out of fear; and retire the richest man in the west
