History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the south. Rolen was orphaned to a temple shortly after his birth. He was raised by the temple staff to care always for others above himself and to hold his god always in his heart. He leaves a trail of broken hearts and full pockets wherever he goes.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs.
