History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Sammal grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Sammal. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Sammal was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the illithids.

Anverth enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Map Maker work with an outfit from a few towns over. Map Maker work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He has achieved small success as a Map Maker.

Personality: He is envious of other's things. He hoards treasure, art, food, wine, and anything that he so desires. He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He has achieved small success as a Sailor.

Description: This southern man is abnormally tall. He wears a white coat over a violet low-cut shirt, and a small hat upon his head. His whole body is exceptionally muscular. He has a very tight haircut. His face is feral with sharp distinguishing features. His spectacle hidden eyes are a deep gray.

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, he has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. His actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as he answers to a power that mortal men fail to acknowledge.

History: He was born at the edge of vast island. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: To unite with his sister; and doesn't want to be a priest and was forced into it by his family
