Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Aramil embodies much of what other species detest in the Elves. He can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. Aramil abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and he is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out

History: He got into the Courier business at a young age. He worked as a nervous Courier and found it very stressful. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature hammer.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and he desires to right it; and he has passion for adventuring and risk

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Mantus was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: He has a massive crush on the younger sibling of the Courier who has hired him part-time. He claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day he will do what he thinks is right.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Courier hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.
