History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Like his father and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Butcher. He tends to his Butcher job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

His gold eyes peer out from beneath his wide-brimmed grey hat.

Personality: Shamash is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. He has all his life been fascinated with singing.

History: Shamash was born with his mother's beautiful face. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when brigands swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and he desires to right it; and a deep hatred of brigands
