History: Sammal lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his mother's willingness to do anything to win. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of philosophers.
