He found a children's book about a Dwarf Fighter who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Merchant arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. His parents were killed by giants in a raid when he was still a young child. The giants captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He was granted divine powers by his dying sister.
