History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart.
