History: Born in the south to a Cartwright, Lamlis learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. In his youth he was a Apothecary, and wanted to be a champion fighter when he grew up. He was working during a period of war, and as one of the natives he lived in fear of joining the others in being slaughtered. He saw the brutality and swore off his fighting aspirations, taking his younger brother on his back after seeing his parents die, and fled the country. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Lance grew up listening to his mother's many stories. He worked as a nervous Blacksmith and found it very stressful. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Personality: He trusts no one. He is not readily capable for forgiveness and his ire never leaves him. He will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Tiefling activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Tiefling doctor. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out.

Personality: Deceptive and manipulative this western guy figured out how to best use his charms to convince people to do what he wants. He receives visions of the future at random moments

History: Jak lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: Jade was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. Through the years after Jade was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Jade's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Jade and his spouse have recently divorced.
