Description: A middle-aged man, he wears a large hat to cast shadows over his face and wears ponchos to better hide his body, and is pretty ugly. His hair is cut close to his head. He has gleaming, smiling hazel eyes.

Personality: He hates illithids. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. A true patriot, Ahvain would do anything for his country. He is fiercely protective of his fellow citizens and foreign allies.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his mother. Because his mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, illithids burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the north, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his father from journeying north to reunite his family. He has been helping groups of widows and orphans who have fled abusive spouses or lost their families to illithids.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud.

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes goblins are coming to abduct people. He is underhanded and not above using his wealth and body to get others to do his bidding.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. Now he works as a writing tutor during his time off.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge.

History: When he was but 8 years old his parents immigrated from the north. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: He feels kind of lost in life; and he loathes his own lifestyle

Recently a tribe of goblins attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Srorthen fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
