Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. He pushes his goals aggressively. He is also a coward if confronted.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Glassblower hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Personality: He does not believe in betrayal or weakness as things to be tolerated. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.

History: A powerful slaver made him what he is. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Bûth fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Skirt grew up listening to his father's many stories. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: He wants to meet his childhood hero.

Description: A middle-aged man, he wears suspenders and brown workpants. His shirt is tan, and he wears a heavy brown leather apron most of the time, and is pretty ugly. His brown hair is thinning but still full. He has gleaming, smiling hazel eyes.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Gilbert embodies much of what other species detest in the Half-Elves. He is an amazing painter.

History: His psionic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. In his formative years he discovered how persuasive he was. He began using that to his advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the east.
