History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. He was granted arcane powers by his dying brother.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He has achieved small success as a Hunter.

Motivation: He feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help; and he has decided he is irredeemable

He moved out north to avoid the crime he committed. After a long history of fighting, Oriax and his spouse have recently divorced.
