History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.

Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with writing. He constantly tries to fill his life with writing. He has a minor phobia of water and hates getting wet.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Carpenter arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Through the years after Gardain was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Gardain's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He now mingles about in high society.
