History: Born in the west his family was never financially stable. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: He was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. Being a Carpenter kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: He shows great sympathy to all travelers. He's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. He is lazy, self-centered, vain, and jealous.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his mother's willingness to do anything to win. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: He speaks before he thinks and is too direct. He disdains his fellow westerners, claiming they make him look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
