This search led him directly into Scribe work with an outfit from a few towns over. Scribe work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He now owns his own business.

His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. Further he is a bit of a stoner and is frequently out of it.
