Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Varis embodies much of what other species detest in the Half-Elves. He is fiercely devoted to his father, and views his father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. After a long history of fighting, Varis and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: He's attracted to the PC; and to unite with his brother

Motivation: He doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes; and he is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally
