He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has dedicated himself to building a better world.

History: He was born into a rich family. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. Some 4 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Morthos never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions
