History: He was born in the west. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Tieflings in the west were limited. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother; and to reunite with his absent mother

History: The child of a Slave Trader, who enjoyed hunting, Valafar was taken on many hunting expeditions. Valafar was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Valafar decided he wanted neither the life of his father nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

His mother taught him the rudiments of the Performer arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He helped his mother out around the business and became quite the natural. He has worked as a Performer like his mother before him.
