When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He bought a lance and has really upped his game hunting, due to his understanding of decoy and ambush.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.
