History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Kerkad was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Ruler. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. Carrie was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Carrie decided he wanted neither the life of his father nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
