He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Bellfounder. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Personality: He does not believe in betrayal or weakness as things to be tolerated. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Theodoric is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. As a young child he wandered into the woods despite his father's warnings against it. Afterwards he claimed he had encountered illithids who tried to eat his hand. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone.
