History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Leucis was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Shepherd for the past few years.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He now owns his own business.

Personality: He is happy with his job as a Navigator. He turns his eye from what people do, preferring to live and let live. A true patriot, Laucian would do anything for his country. He is fiercely protective of his fellow citizens and foreign allies.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Laucian was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He has achieved small success as a Navigator.

History: Beiro was born the youngest of three triplets. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
