Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Balam hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. In his 11th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Balam alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.
