He was preparing to flee to the south, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his father from journeying south to reunite his family. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Bather. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.
