Description: A man with a warm, jovial air about him, he is wearing the road beaten gear of a warrior. His silver hair is smooth and relatively long. His otherwise smooth face is marked with small tiny scars.
Personality: He is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before his hampering stammer kicks in. He misses his home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.
History: Gardain was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Cleric, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Cleric in service of a powerful lord somewhere. A few years later when the east was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.
Motivation: An old rival family wants him found; and to unite with his brother

Description: He wears a weathered and beat up set of banded mail beneath an oversized violet coat, but does not cut a very imposing figure. He walks with a slouch but will stand straight to his full 3'3" when asserting himself. His tied-back hair is white. His blue eyes are slightly larger than normal.
Personality: His tongue was cut out and he uses sign language. He is very protective of his business, his home, and his spouse. He is willing to work with less than legal methods but maintains the front of legitimacy.
History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Gnomes in Orryn's homeland. Orryn decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. Recently a tribe of orcs attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Orryn fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
Motivation: Seeks redemption; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions

Description: He typically wears a sleeveless long coat of deep brown leather and dull grey iron scale mail. He carries a battered warhammer and tarnished hand crossbow as well. He keeps his chestnut hair in a pixie cut. His gray eyes are desperate and heavily dilated. He has the appearance of someone under the heavy influence of drugs.
Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.
History: He is a Yochlol in disguise. He found a children's book about a Gnome Commoner who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.
Motivation: Sabotage a competitor.

Description: This western man's face is deformed and paralyzed on one side. As such, he slurs his words together. He wears a tan wide-brimmed hat and tan clothes. He has done his best to style his dark red hair to look like a famous performer. He has a dull look in his black eyes.
Personality: He is a hateful person. He taunts others and blames them for his problems. He lacks restraint and is impulsive. He jumps in and acts without thinking all too often.
History: He was born at the edge of vast plains. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Carter. He has achieved small success as a Carter.
Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it; and many illithids want him driven away

Description: He is of a modest build and height, but he carries himself more imposing than he is. He wears tattered old clothes. His fur, while still mostly beige, has prominent grey streaks. His eyes, though not visible through his cowl, are blue.
Personality: He can speak with the recently deceased. He is accommodating to his spouse and as such limits his hospitality. He is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven himself a capable leader.
History: Gifted from a young age, Shivering studied abroad. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Shivering was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.
